Mindfulness
In its simplest form, mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment.
There are many forms of mindfulness practices to explore. These can include directing attention to the breath or physical body, loving-kindness, mindful movement or mindful eating among many others. There are both formal and informal mindfulness practices and many ways to incorporate even mindful moments into daily life. Mindfulness is not a “quick fix” or “solution” to issues but rather a way of being with issues as they arise.
My own personal mindfulness practice started nearly 10 years ago and has since grown and developed as I have gone deeper into the practice. I am an accredited mindfulness teacher with Mindfulness Now and am registered on the Mindfulness Teachers Assocation.
I view mindfulness as a way of life and it is deeply embedded in everything I do.
