An Introduction
I struggled to figure out what to write for this first post. I went through a number of different topics thinking “maybe I can write about my cup of tea” or “maybe a contemplation on living a slower life” or “maybe what I do in a day.” When I sat down to write it, none of those felt right. So, I figured, let me start with an introduction and get to the other ideas at another time (because there is time to write about all the ideas that I’ve had and will have).
My name is Morrissa. I currently live in the UK (but am from the US) with my partner and my dog (Polly). I am training to be a counselor and am loving my course. I care about people and am learning to include myself in that group as well. I like reading and baking, taking walks and going on runs, watching tv and eating new foods, sitting and looking out windows. I am learning how to live slowly, how to move through life with intention and attention.
At the moment I am not quite sure what form this writing will take but I hope in it I can share thoughts, reflections, questions and little moments that mean something to me and maybe (hopefully) mean something to someone else.
